It explores the limitations of traditional street design approaches and highlights the growing shift toward people-focused, multimodal planning. The presentation also introduces pilot projects as a practical, low-cost tool for testing street design changes, outlining best practices for implementation, data collection, and evaluation. Finally, it presents a case study of a current Complete Streets pilot project, including project objectives, design approach, data collection strategy, and how the results will inform future permanent infrastructure improvements.
