Opportunity: The Department of Planning and Compliance is responsible for land-use planning, building inspections and permitting, and by-law enforcement and is looking for a Summer Student to assist with various day-to-day tasks. The ideal candidate would have an interest in Community Planning and Sustainable Development.

Minimum Qualifications: Full-time student entering or currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution for fall 2023. Please provide proof of enrollment (if available). Experience with Land-Use Planning, Sustainability, or Engineering Technology would be preferred.

Assets: Current driver’s license; experience with records management; graphic design and digital communications; and ability to converse in both official languages would be assets.

Responsibilities: Providing assistance with the implementation of the Town Climate Action Plan, records management, customer service, and research for the preparation of by-laws and by-law amendments.

Responsible to: Director of Planning & Compliance.
