ABOUT THE ROLE:

Under the supervision of the Manager of Planning & Development, this position provides subject matter expertise to planning services, leads and manages planning assignments or departmental projects based on Town Council’s strategic priorities. This position will have accountability for developing, reviewing and/or implementing strategic long-term plans such as the Downtown & Waterfront Masterplan (2014), Generations Active Park Masterplan (2013), Open Space Plan (2022) Implementation and Infrastructure Planning. This role is a core member of the Community Development Department and will collaborate on various departmental and organizational initiatives within a high-functioning team including: energy poverty reduction program (Energize Bridgewater), affordable housing, heritage and urban design guidelines, flood risk policy development, economic development strategy implementation and the review of the Town’s planning documents.

The Town of Bridgewater recognizes the value of growth and development of our staff.
